भावयामि रघुरामं भव्यसुगुणारामम्
भावुक-वितरण-परापाङ्ग-लीलालसितम्

भावयामि रघु-रामम् भव्य+सु+गुण+आरामम्
भावुक+वितरणपर+अपाङ्ग+लीला+लसितम्

भावयामि I meditate upon  रघु-रामम Lord Rama, of the Raghu dynasty, who is आराम the embodiment (literal meaning – the garden) of भव्य all auspicious and सु+गुण noble virtues. He is the one who लसित shines, अपाङ्ग+लीला playfully casting his side-glances (at his ardent devotees), वितरण+पर ever ready to grant them भावुक happiness and prosperity.

बाल-काण्डम्

दिनकरान्वाय-तिलकम् दिव्य-गाधिसुत-सवना-
वनरचित-सुबाहुमुख-वधं अहल्यापावनम्
अनघमीश-चापभङ्गं जनकसुता-प्राणेशम्
घनकुपित-भृगुराम-गर्वहरमित साकेतम्
दिनकर+अन्वाय+तिलकम् दिव्य+गाधि+सुत+सवन+
अवन+रचित+सुबाहु+मुख+वधम् अहल्या+पावनम्
अनघम् ईश+चाप+भङ्गम् जनक+सुता+प्राण+ईश
घन+कुपित+भृगु+राम+गर्व+हरम् इत+साकेतम्
One who is the तिलक ornament among अन्वाय the successors of the Solar dynasty which is based on Sun who कर creates दिन the day; who वध killed the demons मुख led by सुबाहु Subaahu, रचित provided for the अवन protection of सवन the sacrifices of Brahmarshi Vishvamitra, सुत the son of दिव्य the pious गाधि King Gaadhi; and पावन purified (liberated) अहल्या Ahalyaa from her curse;  अनघ who is the sinless one, भङ्ग  who broke चाप the bow of ईश the Lord Shiva, thereby qualifying to wed Sita; प्राण+ईश who is the life breath of Sita, सुता the daughter of जनक Janaka;  who हर subdued the गर्व pride of घन+कुपित the anger-filled भृगु+राम Parashurama; and one who इत reached साकेतम् Ayodhya (Saaketa).

अयोध्या-काण्डम्

विहता अभिषेकमथ विपिनगतमार्यवाच
सहित सीता सौमित्रिम् शान्ततमशीलम्
गुहनिलयगतं चित्रकूटागत भरतदत्त-
महितरत्नमयपादुकं मदनसुन्दराङ्गम्

विहत+अभिषेकम् अथ विपिन+गतम् आर्य+वाच
सहित+सीता+सौमित्रिम् शान्ततम+शीलम्
गुह+निलय+गतम् चित्रकूट+आगत+भरत+दत्त+
महित+रत्नमय+पादुकम् मदन+सुन्दर+अङ्गम्

The one who, विहत abandoned अभिषेक the coronation as the king of Ayodhya, and अथ then, obeying वाच the commands  of आर्य his venerable father Dasharatha, गत went to विपिन the forest, सहित accompanied by his wife, सीता Sita, and सौमित्रि brother Lakshmana (the son of Sumitra); who possesses शील the character of शान्ततम extreme calmness; who गत visited निलय the abode of गुह Guha; who दत्त gave महित his splendid, रत्नमय gem-studded पादुक sandals to भरत his brother Bharata, who आगत came to चित्रकूट the Chitrakoota mountains; and who possesses a सुन्दर beautiful अङ्ग body that rivals that of मदन Kamadeva, the God of Love.

आरण्य-काण्डम्

वितत-दण्डकारण्यक-गतविराधदलनम्
सुचरित-घटज-दत्त-अनुपमित-वैष्णवास्त्रम्
पतगवर-जटायुनुतं पञ्चवटी-विहितावासम्
अतिघोर-शूर्पनखा-वचनागत-खरादिहरम्

वितत+दण्डक+आरण्यक+गत+विराध+दलनम्
सुचरित+घटज+दत्त+अनुपमित+वैष्णव+अस्त्रम्
पतग+वर+जटायु+नुतम् पञ्चवटी+विहित+आवासम्
अति+घोर+शूर्पनखा+वचन+आगत+खर+आदि+हरम्

The one who दलन killed the demon विराध Viradha, who was गत residing in वितत the vast दण्डक Dandaka आरण्यक forest; who received the अनुपमित unparalleled and अस्त्र divine weapon वैष्णव belonging to Vishnu, दत्त presented to him by the सुचरित illustrious sage Agastya, घटज the one born out of a pot; who was नुत worshipped by जटायु Jatayu, the वर king of पतग birds;  and who विहित made आवास his dwelling in पञ्चवटी Panchavati, हरम् killed खर+आदि the demons led by the fierce Khara, the brother of the Lankan King Ravana, in a battle आगत instigated by the [ill-spoken] वचन words of their sister, the अति very घोर fierce, शूर्पनखा Shoorpanakha (the one with शूर्प sharp नखा nails).

किष्किन्दा-काण्डम्

कनकमृग-रूपधर-खलमारीच-हरमिह
सुजनविमतदशास्यहृत-जनकजान्वेषणम्
अनघ-पम्पातीर-संगताञ्जनेय-नभोमणि-
तनुज-सख्यकरम् वालि-तनुदलनमीशम्
कनक+मृग+रूप+धर+खल+मारीच+हरम् इह
सु+जन+विमत+दश+आस्य+हृत+जनकजा+अन्वेषणम्
अनघ+पम्पा+तीर+संगत+आञ्जनेय+नभोमणि
तनुज+सख्यकरम् वालि+तनु+दलनम् ईशम्

The one who हर killed the खल wicked demon मारीच Maricha, who had धर assumed the रूप shape of a कनक golden मृग deer; who अन्वेषण started इह here, the search of his wife जनकजा Sita, whom the demon king Ravana, who has दश ten आस्य faces, had हृत stolen away, विमत totally disregarding the good advice of सु+जन his well-wishers; who संगत reached तीर the pristine shores of the अनघ sacred river पम्पा Pampa; who सख्यकर made acquaintances with आञ्जनेय Hanuman, (the son of Anjana) and  Sugreeva, the तनुज son of नभोमणि the Sun god, the jewel of the sky, Surya; who दलन destroyed तनु the body of वालि Vali; and ईश who is the abode of all auspiciousness.

सुन्दर-काण्डम्

वानरोत्तम-सहित-वायुसूनुकरार्पित-
भानुशत-भास्वर-भव्य-रत्नाङ्गुलीयम्
तेन पुनरानीतान्यूनचूडामणि-दर्शनम्
श्रीनिधिम्-उदधितीराश्रित-विभीषण-मिलितम्

वानर+उत्तम+सहित+वायु+सूनु+कर+अर्पित+
भानु+शत+भास्वर+भव्य+रत्न+अङ्गुलीयम्
तेन पुनः आनीत+अन्यून+चूडामणि+दर्शनम्
श्री+निधिम् उदधि+तीर+आश्रित+विभीषण+मिलितम्

The one who, while in सहित the company of  Sugreeva, the उत्तम superior among वानर monkeys, handed over to (अर्पित offered in the कर hands of) Hanuman, the सूनु son of  वायु Vayu (the lord of the winds), his रत्न gem भव्य studded अङ्गुलीय ring that rivals the भास्वर luster of शत hundreds of भानु suns (to be given to Sita, when he finds her);  and who, पुनः afterwards, दर्शन received अन्यून the untainted चूडामणि crest jewel of Sita आनीत that was brought back तेन by Hanuman; श्री+निधि who is the abode of all auspiciousness; and who at the उदधि ocean तीर shore, मिलित made friends with the आश्रित refugee विभीषण Vibhishana, the brother of Ravana.

कलितवर-सेतुबन्धं खलनिस्सीम पिशिताशन
दलनम् उरुदशकण्ठविदारम् अतिधीरम्
ज्वलनपूत-जनकसुतासहित-यातसाकेतं
विलसित पट्टाभिषेकं विश्वपालम् पद्मनाभम्

कलित+वर+सेतु+बन्धम् खल+निः+सीम+पिशित+अशन
दलनम् उरु+दश+कण्ठ+विदारम् अति+धीरम्
ज्वलन+पूत+जनक+सुता+सहित+यात+साकेतम्
विलसित+पट्ट+अभिषेकम् विश्व+पालम् पद्म+नाभम्

The one who कलित constructed वर a high quality सेतु+बन्ध bridge across the ocean; who दलन killed an निः+सीम endless number of खल wicked पिशित meat अशन eating demons; who विदार destroyed the दश ten कण्ठ headed and उरु mighty Ravana; अति+धीर  who is very valiant;  who, सहित accompanied by the सुता daughter of जनक Janaka, Sita, who is पूत purified by ज्वलन fire, यात proceeded to साकेत  Ayodhya; who was विलसित seated in all glory for पट्ट+अभिषेक the coronation as the king (of Ayodhya); who is पाल the protector of विश्व the entire universe; and (finally) who is Lord Vishnu, the one with a पद्म lotus in नाभ his navel (Padmanabha).
